Unlocked XCAL2 Hand Held Tuner

Up for sale is a unlocked XCAL2 Hand Held Tuner. This unit has a tune for a 1995 Ford Thunderbird V8, computer code a5w0. This has settings for 3.73 gears, stock everything else. Tuned by Pete at FordChip, who has been around a long time. Otherwise, you can go to your own tuner and have them make up a program to fit your car. You are buying the device, tunes are free and as-is.
The tuner is great shape, comes with LiveLink software for your laptop.

$225.00 including shipping.

The picture is the actual unit..

Thanks!

Is it possible to delete the tunes? Do i need a chip to use this. I know noob questions but I havent really looked into tuning.

I love my V8, but I'd love it more if all 8 cylinders worked. (they do now)

My T-bird is like George Jetson's wife, you try to give her a little money, she takes the whole wallet.

Yes, in order to use it with your car you would have to have a program written for your car. The popular guy here is Lonnie at Blueovalchips.com. A chip is not required and on a T-Bird, its the only way to go due to the location of the computer (IMHO).

There are some Taurus guys that have had some decent results with the V6s. I am sure you would be pleased if you purchased this.

Also for sale, a modified a5w0 computer for a 1995 V8. This unit allows for the 3.73 gears, high shift points, A/F settings and premium fuel. Shifting at WOT is at 6000RPM with high shiftpoints through out. Great for someone who has an aftermarket torque converter and 3.73s. I would consider this race only, but you can drive on it. Make me an offer..

The above Xcal2 is still locked. So it is a diagnostic tool only. It will come with LiveLink software so you can troubleshoot your car. Can also read codes. While you can't use it to flash cars anymore, you can make use of its other ablilties. Make me an offer...

Do you know what a tune just by itself would cost?
