I did some reading all about the PI intake swap and I'm debating if I should just go new or what.

Brand new will cost you twice as much. No reason to spend more when a used one works just as good. Intakes don't wear out like heads do.

If you can wait. I know where you can get a FRPP PI intake. C&L upper and 75mm BBK throttle body locally and low mileage.
