Remy Gold 97122 Starter Motor For 4.6 Liter V-8

100% brand-new (NOT rebuilt) Remy Gold 97122 starter motor; used, but was only on my car for literally ONE DAY (it started my 4.6 liter V-8 MAYBE 6 times)! I've had some problems with my 1997 Thunderbird not starting over the last two or three months, and I've had FOUR brand-new starters put on before the problem was traced to a wire from my ignition switch to the starter solenoid that was sometimes shorting out when I would try to start the car, resulting in insufficient voltage going to the starter motor.

The first two starters I had installed were made by TYC, and I just assumed they were junk. It wasn't until I put my third brand-new starter on, this Remy unit, and it wouldn't start the very next day, that I realized the problem was something other than defective starter motors. The shop that traced & repaired the wiring problem insisted that this starter was bad due to that wiring problem; I didn't think it was, but they said they couldn't properly repair the car without putting a known good starter in it. So, I bought a brand-new AC-Delco starter and gave it to them to install. I haven't had any problems since.

I took this starter up to my local Autozone store & had it tested - just as I suspected, there's not a thing wrong with it! There's even a slip of paper in the box that the girl at Autozone put in it, indicating that the starter passed all tests.

I'm asking $55 shipped for it; that's roughly 40% off the $93 I paid for it (including shipping and taxes) at Rock Auto!

If you'd like to buy it, just send PayPal payment to [email protected], and include your shipping address. Send me a P.M. here, too.

This isn't a picture of the actual unit I'm selling (I'm not currently at home, and can't take a picture of it), but one I got off of Rock Auto's website that shows what this Remy Gold starter looks like. The actual unit I'm selling still looks completely brand-new.

Thanks,

Dennis

Yes, payment sent - AND received! Thank you. I'll ship that just as soon as I can, and I'll P.M. you to let you know that it was shipped.
