SVO Supercharger

I ended up with two of these while attempting to piece together a more complete kit for my car. Comes only with the parts pictured in the album.

https://picasaweb.google.com/1146145...CNm4y_WBnKOiFQ

Parts included:
Supercharger
Idler Pulley and Bracket
65mm TB (installed on supercharger)
70mm Ford Racing TB
30lb injectors (Qty. = 8, need new o-rings and pintel caps)
Modified Fuel Rails with Adjustable FPR
160 Deg. Thermostat

I will also send the buyer a PDF copy of the installation instructions and parts list.

This kit is a good start but is missing some things to complete. Fortunately the important missing parts (Throttle bracket, alternator bracket, alternator spacers) are easy to fabricate. Unfortunately, I do not have the parts or drawings for the brackets yet. When I do have some made, I would be willing to have a second set made for the buyer at cost. I have the alternator spacers and provide the measurements for making a set.

I am looking to get $1300 plus shipping and fees

Thanks,
Bryan

Am I correct in assuming this is the 4.6 SVO supercharger kit from around 1999 or so? It's obviously for NPI heads. This makes 2 I've seen. The first one was in a box decades ago at the Columbus Ohio Ford meet.

Yes, this is for NPI heads but can be ported for PI heads. Bob Steigemeier can do this work a long with adding a Lightning IAT, rear coolant crossover, and porting. I plan on sending my other SVO to him to have this work done. If the buyer wishes to have Bob do work on this one, I could ship it directly to him to save the shipping cost.

If I'm looking at your pics correctly, the bracket with the idler pulley on it is the alternator bracket. I have MikeB's pics and drawings when he had the alt bracket and spacer made. I also have a complete kit on my parts car if you need the throttle bracket to sketch up.

Because of this quote I'm going to be the Newb that asks whether or not this can be installed I. 97 or earlier cougar. My instinct says yes because of how it's for NPI heads. However I'm not a mechanic. If applicable this would be something I'm interested

The alternator bracket I am referring to is "M" from the manual.

Any help you could provide with dimensions of "L" and "M". Would be appreciated.

The quote I got from Bob included a lot of other work (porting, rebuild, port matching to PI heads, plugging the front coolant port, adding the Lightning IAT, rear coolant crossover) and it was just a lump sum. I would contact Bob to get a quote for exactly the work you would be interested in.

Yes, it can but takes a little work and a tune. Mine will be going into a 97 thunderbird but I will be using the newer PI heads.

A little work being the fabrication of modifying brackets for the correct fit?

Yes it requires fabrication for the brackets. You also have to route the cooling lines and possibly trim some off the hood bracing.

These don't come up often and I was looking for one for a while. Now that I stumbled across a second no one is looking for one

I would like to sell this before sending mine off to Bob, so make an offer.

There are people running unported blowers on PI heads, so it's not a necessity.

One more week and I will be putting this up on the mustang boards. I wanted to keep it in the family but can't afford to have it sitting around too long.

Yes, it will fit under the stock hood. Some trimming of the bracing might be needed but it will fit. Sorry, I don't need any guns or gun services.

Okay didn't mean to waste your time. Do you have a milage figure for the whole thing? Also is there any play within the rotor bearings within the blower? I'm sorry if my terminology isn't correct I'm kinda new to this.
