our 95 cougar (this is not an ad)
yet again I am asking for your help again I am in the process of cleaning out my garage and yard and well because I am not working and its been kinda hard finding a job that works around my horrible school schedule, I am now getting rid of everything I have. I wanted your opinion I just posted the cars that I have that I am parting out on photobucket http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/m...head%20gasket/
this is the link, and it is a 95 cougar with the 4.6 and I believe it got a blown head gasket I never really tested it I just took all the oil and water out immediately after the first sign of water in the oil and it never even overheated, well it got warm but not real hot I noticed it and then I parked it and changed the oil out then ran liquid glass though it and changed the oil again so it could sit safely without ruining the intenals now I start it often and run it for 20-30 minutes and it stays cool while idleing. It also has torque converter shudder really bad. But hey the A/c works like a champ, but the rest of the car is pretty rough and the elctrical system needs help it has shorts in a couple of switches and when you put a blinker on the voltage gauge pulses. Any way though it is inspectable and is legal it never has failed a legit inspection. I am sorry for this being so long but if you read this and glance at the pics of the car I would appreciate it alot. Because I am curious if I should fix the head gaskets and change the torque converter and sell it for 2000-2500 ( now I would sell it here in town locally not to you guys unless you wanted it ) Or should I part out what I can from it and then sell it for scrap metal. I appreciate any feed back on this also I have 2 great running cars so I wont miss it when it goes.
