And what deer you will see in the AZ ower desert are the size of Labrador retrievers, but weigh less and have spindly legs

I agree, I moved (eventually) from NW Colorado to Tucson and I don't miss watching for shiny eyes on and near the road. I had too many run ins with deer and elk.

Well, we have to worry about, and I am not being racist here:

Havelinas (little wild pigs, they have sharp bones and puncture tires)
open range pets
illegal aliens goofy from the 4 days in the heat crossing roads and such
drunks along the freeway walking back to the reservation

Great comments on the linked page. lol.

When I first saw this I though you were talking about your car. Glad it wasn't you.

When I'm up there in PA I always go dear hunting with my company rental car. Haven't bagged one yet.

I did almost hit a guy in a Cheby Monte Carlo who cut me off in traffic. I seriously considered hitting the jerk. He'd have been at fault for pulling in front of me. Rental cars are great for that.

Honest officer I tried to stop. He just pulled in front of me with no warning...

Mods? Yea, I got mods ...
Air silencer delete, warp drive, dilithium crystals, flux capacitor, Slingshot Rubber band power adder, Moonshine & Gas, Leaf Blower Supercharger, Hamster Wheel & Hamster, Energizer Bunny generating 1.21 gigawatts, Mr. FusionŽ Home Energy Reactor, hover conversion and a sextant celestial navigation system (The original GPS)
