As crappy as these movies are, they make awesome surround sound demos. There are only a handful of car movies that have good surround mixes.

Hopefully the movie is as entertaining as the comments following the write up in the second post!

Mods? Do the ones in the garage waiting to go on the car count?

I haven't seen Tokyo Drift, but I really liked the first two. I didn't necessarily enjoy all the wannabe ricer-boys that came out of the woodwork after the first movie though.

I actually enjoyed 2gay2furious, but the first one sucked, and I refused to see tokyo drift at all. I actually saw the preview for this one right before death race though, and now I have to see it. From what I saw in the preview though, it looks like they got away from the rice-boy thing. The trailer opened up with vin diesel thrashing on a gran-national, and then he's got one of the new challengers in another scene. Maybe it will be decent (I generally like other Vin Diesel movies) or maybe it will be awful. Either way, I feel like a failure inside because I want to spend my hard-earned money to watch another fast and the furious movie.

Just watched a trailer. It looks okay so far. Didnt like how the Grand National got all phucked up by the tanker truck, eh...maybe it was just a base Regal in GN clothes.

Damn, I never heard of a Ford RS200 until the above post. Pretty wicked little cars:

I've done a little more research. Lots of cars are destroyed in this movie...both imports and American. However, seems that some the american muscle cars that were destroyed weren't worth a whole lot. The REAL Plymouth Roadrunner in the movie actually survives. They did use like 3 Plymouth Sattelites that were all ready sort of beat up, dressed them up as true Roadrunners and destroyed them. The Mustang that gets destroyed is actually a V6 dressed up as a V8. They destroyed like 6 Subarus and 5 Nissans (dressed up like true Skylines) were destroyed as well. The BMW gets trashed. A few 69 Camaros and Chevelles get destroyed also. I think 2 Dodge Chargers get destroyed.

What really boils my blood is the fact they destroyed like 4 Buick Grand Nationals (Not actual GNX's though) Still sucks to see good american muscle get destroyed, that arent even made anymore. Oh yeah, the 72 Ford Torino gets totalled also.

Still debating on seeing it, though I probably will. Too bad they don't total more Hondas and Acuras. The Acura Integra survives as well as the Honda S2000. If I find out anymore, I'll post it here.

I like most cars too. Just pisses me off that they destroy loads of rare american muscle classics in movies all the time. They should make kit cars of american muscle, then destroy them.

That's the biggest reason I want to go see it. Other than watching the cool cars in action (not the silly ricers), I'd probably hate it. The first two had the physics so off that it was extremely hard for me to watch (I'm a mech engineer)

Yup yup.

Anyone else notice in the commercials that the gn doesnt sound right? Sounds like a v8.

Oh and Blak, that s2000 that you said survived, I'm pretty sure it ended up getting destroyed, I'll try to find pics.

This is the only thing I've found in reference to cars being used in Fast And Furious. I don't see the Ford RS200 listed. maybe they decided not to use it? Anyways, doesnt seem like a lot of cars, but here goes: Scroll to bottom.

Weren't they stealing gas in this one? It's funny how gas prices are way down by the time the movie comes out. A little bit of a fail if you ask me.

Slightly Jerryfied...
