Cold War Part Two

Mods? Do the ones in the garage waiting to go on the car count?

Many thanks to my fellow Veterans; I am honored to be a part of your ranks.

I thought The Cuban Missile Crisis was the result of the U.S. putting
Jupiter intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBM) in Turkey in late 1961, 150 miles from the Soviet Union.

Nikita Khrushchev feared the U.S. would launch a first strike.

Castro agreed with Khrushchev that the Soviet Union should install missiles in Cuba aimed at the U.S..

Please correct me if I am wrong.

That's pretty much it. Thank god we had better intel back then...

Also thankfully, we bought a whole bunch of fissile materials from the Soviets and puppets, I mean allies, after the end of the cold war.

We bought tons of stuff they can't easily replace...and most of their remaining arms are in poor condition.

The way the govt will pull us out of the recession will be WWIII, kinda like last time... only worse.
