Spotted on EBay in the UK

Spotted this 97 on eBay over here in the uk this morning:

https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/282691808413

If only I had another space on the drive, it would be worth buying for spares if nothing else. I can't believe it was written off on the basis of that little scrape!

Did I read on here that the tranny in the 97 was improved compared to the one in my 94?

Yes, slightly, but...

If you want a newer tranny, I'd find one from an 02 Crown Victoria Taxi or Mustang.

You will need to rebuild it at this point regardless, the rubber inside has shrank and hardened at this point.

That car appears to have sport wheels; it may have sport springs and shocks.

The interior looks Really good for its age.

What are the rules over there regarding registering a previously totaled car? As hard as it is to get one of these cars over there, it would be a shame to see a clean one destroyed over some very minor cosmetic damage.

-91 Cougar LS, coming soon, complete overhaul with a 427" Windsor.
-90 XR7 5-speed black on black w/sunroof, MP2, coated rotors, double intercooler, 15%OD, ported heads, comp stage 1 cam, 85mm TB, 90MM LMAF, 80# injectors, and ported big valve heads
-98 Mark VIII LSC, Procharger P600b, TR3650 swap and 3.73s.
-90 SC Automatic rustbucket winter beater
-97 Tbird Sport 4.6 Nice weather daily driver

My car was totalled a few years ago, and all you need to do is get the repaired car checked over by a government approved testing station, then get another normal annual inspection, and you're good to go. It's no big deal.
