so some civic idiot called my bird a grampa car today....

He had one of those mufflers that sounds like a fart, a body kit that half the civic ownrers have, and a ghetto spoiler. The douch wanted to race, but after I told him I dont race crap wagons, he got in his car, did a burnout, and sped off.

I hate Civic fanboys, and I hate them insulting my car cause its not a honda

Civic = little boys car. Doesn't make enough HP for him to hurt himself in it.

I would have to say that so far, I can't complain. The ones who drive the Civics, Cavs, and other rice cars have actually complimented on my car, they have never said anything negative about it. Hopefully, it will stay that way but who knows.

I've never had them say anything bad about my car. A couple kids in pontiacs got mouthy with me one time, but that's been taken care of and is far in the past(no, no racing, I don't do that unless its on a track). Most of the time I get compliments on how clean she is, even from Honda boys.

exactly. having a sleeper is great. let everyone talk about this and that.... i just let my car speak for itself. look at and it looks like every other bird on the road. when it comes to racing though i've surprised quite a few people.

Yeah that is the reaction I got from some Mustang guys after a run in on the local "track" in which I mainly lost because of VERY BAD reaction time. In fact, I got challenged RIGHT AFTER I told the story by a 96 GT.

Lol I used to love having the ricers bash the old Grand Marquis, but with the 351 it wasnt your grandpas Merc. Only regret is I never could see their faces when I left em behind and the look on their g/fs face when they got smoked by a "grandpa car"

My friends pretty much all think my car is a grandpa car. I really couldn't care less what they think about it.

They're a bunch of Camaro freaks btw.

Ricers are funny.... Sunday, I was riding with my father in his 98 windstar, and taking off from a light, some ricer with a hoorible sounding fart cannon, making all kinds of noise, sounding like he was really "getting on it", wasn't pulling away from us too fast, and my father was taking off normally... I think in a race, the Windstar coulda beat that ricer...

My roommate used to give me a hard time about my V-6 Thunderbird. (He has a stock 98 Prelude, nice car) However after I got the sport, and we made a trip in it, he hasn't said too much. I had to pass a couple semi-trucks and he saw that it can actually get out of its own way. Once I get a few mods in it, we're gonna have to find out for sure though.

here is my opinion. i cant stand the ricers. every single ricer that gave me crap i smoked. i get respect from camaro guys and cars like that. i also get respect from import owners that have done their cars right and r fast. so it boils down to little jealous jerks with slow econoboxes just pissed i have a stylish car that looks and sounds good. but i love gettin behind one of the losers blastin their so called sub system. i crank up my 4 12's and they hear me over their wal-mart system

If your exhaust tip is larger than your cylinder bore, then you are a Ricer.

haha great thing about an MN12 is you can have those in the trunk and still have space try that in a civic...

lol i got maybe 2.5k invested, im down. hp numbers dont intimidate me.

but one day i was in my bird, just driving to autozone to get some battery stuff for the eclipse, and this kid in an integra pulls next to me and says "grandma wants her car back" im like "what the fawk do you have any idea what your driving, you really think this is my fast car, follow me home kid, ill show you something" so he followed me home and i showed him the eclipse. i asked him "hey im bout to finish this up(putting new battery cables on) want to go run them?", "nah, i gotta go to the mall for some things, ill see ya around yo". funny after he realized he had nothing the excuses came and he couldnt put up and left.

ricers are funny people, but so are the big time "domestics are god" guys that think 8cylinders means something.

the funny thing here is most guys that replied have stock v8's running low 16's. except for a few guys in the 13's , and that isnt going to impress nobody most ricrs now are runiing 16s or low 15's and the real tuner 12's or 11's.

Most ricers are running stock 4 bangers (oh I forgot about the "exhaust" with the fart can and the chrome CAI with colored filter) with thousands spent on body kits, flashy paint, stereos, ghetto wings and other assorted crap. Put that against a mildly worked or even stock V-8. My moneys on the 8.
