Preparing an engine for shipping

Hey guys, I am about to purchase an engine located in another state, and I need to have it shipped to me. I heard the best way is to have the engine put in a crate, but where can I get one? Is there a place that sells engine crates, or do I have to build one?

Also, what is a good company that ships engines cheap? Thanks for your help.

Best way is to snag a couple CHEP pallets, you could probaly find them at your nearest wal-mart. Take the blocks from one and use them like engine mounts. then bolt the blocks to the other pallet. Wrap it up in plastic (heavy duty, try looking around the docks of any warehouse).

Optionally, you could use the boards and left over blocks from the sacifical pallet to make a frame around the engine.
