Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams) does a brew every year at the time of the Boston Marathon, hence the name 26.2!

I think this is the first year they actually bottled it, had to get either at a restaurant or bar or at the brewery itself.

I had to buy the glass too, couldn't help it!

July 4th bump!

Went to the local craft beer store yesterday with a gift card I got for Fathers Day, did good I must say!

Picked this one up, have you heard of the brewery Ron? Burial Beer Co. out of Asheville. It's a golden saison ale brewed with coffee, mighty tasty......hope I can sleep tonight!

ttt!

Just in time for the Boston Marathon Monday!

Boston Beer Co. (Sam Adams) must be hurting, this was strictly a draft served at the brewery and restaurants in the Boston area.

Happy Easter everyone!

In the spirit of religion I present to you Polygamy Porter. I found this one in UTAH ... I guess it's popular there (... for some reason) LOL.

LOL .. Honestly I didn't drink that one. It was on the shelf at the bar and I asked to take a picture of it. Utah has some really screwy alcohol laws. For example they can't sell anything with a higher alcohol content than 3.2% in grocery stores or at gas stations. Anything higher than 3.2% is relegated to the liquor store, which the state controls. I bought a Goose Island IPA at the grocery store, which, anywhere else in the country it's 5.9% alcohol but in Utah it's 3.2% !

They also have the lowest DUI limit in the country. Every other state is .08% BAC but Utah is .05% BAC !!!

I was glad to leave that state!

Oh ya, nuts to that. Great skiing, but useless alcohol laws. I remember ski trips there, we'd show up in town Friday, hit the supermarket with attached liquor store, buy 4 days worth of alcohol for 2 1/2 days of vacation (to avoid the Sunday dry day) and drink it all inbetween skiing.

I'd say my favorite beer that I can't get my hands on is the Doppio Malto from Oro Di Milano -

https://www.bevmo.com/oro-di-milano-...0-ml-btl-.html

I had this in an Italian restaurant in Hollywood in normal-size bottles. Couldn't find it anywhere else until BevMo! sold it in the giant champagne bottle size. But now it's gone.

I sometimes eat at Hopdoddy Burger Bar and they have a beer on tap called Tangerine Wheat from Lost Coast Brewery -

https://www.bevmo.com/catalog/product/view/id/11790

I'm a fan of the Blue Moon type beers (and regular hefeweizens) and this is similar. But be warned that you can actually taste the tangerine in the beer (no need to add a wedge of it on the glass) so if you only like beer to taste like beer this might not be for you.

My current favorite is by Creature Comforts in Athens, GA. It is called Tropicalia. Definitely recommend trying it if you're ever in GA. Does anyone ever do trades? I want to get some Blood and Honey from revolver in Texas, but it is not sold in my area or anywhere near by.
