My buddy owns a company called All Out Exotics. We buy super high end cars and sell them/mod them for customers. We have quite a collection of cars and a dealership across the street just happened to have an SLR. We talked them into a test drive and its simply an amazing car. Acceleration is on par with ever other exptic out there, but this thing was comfy and the brakes are freaking brutal. It seems that the pedal doesn't sense pressure, just on and off. If I was buying any of the new super cars (Enzo, SLR, CC8R,....) I'd put my money down for the Merc. That eing said I still haven't driven the new Carrera GT or even seen a Ford GT, so my opinion might change.

I saw one in Beverly Hills (go figure ). It was sweet. I also saw a Enzo. I hated the Enzo until I saw it drive by in person. Ahh man that thing is sweet. It sounds like a Jet flying by when it reached some speed. But I always like the SLR looks better.

The Ford GT is nice and the looks and heritage will always kick. But it was supposed to be $100K. What the hell made it go to over $200K. It's all mark up. So it shouldnt even be in that class. I see it as super domestic and not exotic even though I havent seen one on the streets yet. just my opinion on it.

I got the pleasure of driving 2 of our cars while the bird was down, a Ferrari F575 and the Porsche Turbo, I only got to spend a few days with each car, but the Porsche was a nice drive and the most quite, economical, and useful.
