All the KBB type pricing systems seem to have a cap on "low mileage". I've done 'em before and entered 1,000 miles and 75,000 miles and they both seem to come up with the same price. I think he might get 6900 for it. It'll probably sell quicker at 6000, though.

If you are looking to buy I would tell him to get the tranny service at a ford dealer but having them change the fluid. Chances are its original and that stuff is supposed to be changed every year or so. That would maybe explain the shutter. Would probably cost him 80-90 bucks to have it done. Could even get some MerconV in there instead if you dont plan on doing any tranny work to it in the near future.

I persosnally would think somewhere between $5-6K. Assuming it's not a dealer private party sale for it on KBB is only $4,385 in excellent condition. Even retail is only $5900. So $6900 is way to high. It shouldn't be over $6k at all. But again. It's all in marketing and if he presents it right he might be able to do it. just my opinion there.

Leather shifter and steering wheel isn't standard?
And 8ate8 is right about the online car pricing systems, I've checked too.

Night was dark, but the sky was blue,
Down the alley, the ice-wagon flew,
Heard a bump, and somebody screamed,
You should have heard just what I seen.

Who do you love?

I remember seeing one on ebay a while ago that didnt have those in leather. It was the only one I ever saw like that. even my base model LX 4.6 has it. I don't think it was until the decided not to make them and used spare parts from what they can find from other cars and those parts are pretty much standard on other cars as non-leather so Ford had plent of them still in production to use.
