You know, as much crap as this community talks about them, I'm surprised it took them this long to actually take a shot back.

Cool

Style and Class come first. Any car can be built for speed. A four cylinder, turbo charged fart cannon has no grace. I'd rather watch the scenery (and the babes) than a 6" or 8" moniter full of myself!

Cool

Life would be Too boring if I had nothing to wyne (there goes my spelling again) about!! Besides, we all really like a little rivalry. Keeps the juices flowing. But, there is still too much rice for my plate , and too many Yut's who (because they've learned a few basics) think they can tell me what will run, or not run . NEXT....................

Though his attitude is total BS in the end of the day a Talon or Eclipse will most likely be faster. Put $5000 into any T-Bird or turbo'ed and awd Eclipse and you'll be doing a lot of looking at his tail lights. It sucks but then again, they most likely won't stand the test of time like our cars will.

Stronger than never ever before

2.5'' -> 3'' -> 2.5'' Exhaust, MAC Intake, Iridium plugs, 8.5mm plug wires, 76mm MAF, 2.5'' cats, 5% aluminum OD pulley, UD pulleys, lightweight jackshaft pulley, ported supercharger and raised top, front and rear poly bushings
For now...

Yeah, because ricers only started making fun of domestics after years of abuse from domestic owners

Pocket rocket vs. Blast from the Past? Isn't the Eclipse pictured of relatively the same vintage as the Bird?

While yes the depicted cars are of the same vintage, I think he was trying to take a shot at the fact that the TBird has a pedigree, being around for 50 years these days.

LOL. I beat one of those turbo eclipses last night. It was my only kill of the 4 runs that night at Qualcom. When we were lined up the guy was talking s**t. I really thought he would beat me, when I heard the turbo. But I got him ha, ha!(in Nelson Muntz voice)

My Avenger is the "brother" of the eclipse, and it is a POS. I've broken interior plastic pieces three times from normal use, it's noisy as hell, and it rides like the springs are made of rocks, yet it still doesn't handles as well as the bird.

Well.. About time someone tooks some shots at us..

Some of those are true.. Especially about the people don't care, and the rust factor.. The MAJORITY of T-Bird owners in my area don't give 2 ****s about their car and most are rust buckets.

Currently: 2004 Honda Civic Ex 5 Speed
17X7 BSA Wheels - 215/45/17 Falkens; Complete JL System; Magnaflow Catback; Lowered 1.4"

Last Car:
Custom Magnaflow Dual Exhaust; 2003 Cobra Rims with Kelley 255/45/17s;Steeda U/Ds; B&M Transmissoin Cooler; Dirtyd0g's custom 2800 Stall Torque Converter; J-Mod Kit installed by Dirtyd0g; SCT Tuned by Darrin; Lowered with Spring Tech Springs

Want great work done on your tranny? Have dirtyd0g do it! He made a believer out of me!

yup
and if you ask chicks 9 out of 10 pick the eclipse.

the thing here at tccoa , is msot cars are in the 15's some v6 lx are even in the 17's . and then call eclipses and such slow or a POS.

before talking smack, call it slow or underpowered about any car be it a civic or a eclipse or anything get out of the 15;s at least 14's.

1990 5-speed BHJ balancer , ASP underdrives with march WP pulley, 5%OD, optima red top, Magnaflow resonator no cats, solid motor/tranny mounts .

Eclipse's aren't imports. They were made in Illinois in the same factory as the Plymoth Laser and Eagle Talon.

Just wanted to point that out.

imports reliable? maybe stock ones.

There are FWD eclipses, there are also AWD ones. both have their advantages/disadvantages, it all depends on the goals of the owner on wether he wants a track beast or a freeway killer, or possibly both in some cases.

"Has Show:" god i hate the n/t eclipse crowd killing our reputation.
"People Stare" especially the riced out ones, i stare then flip them off. riced out eclipse owners need to buy hondas if they want to do that shyt.
"Saves Gas" hell no it doesnt. i think the tbird mileage was better, though ill gladly give up mileage for performance sake. dam these monsterous injectors
"Light Weight" not a eclipse. almost as heavy as the tbird is.
"Loud System" again those dam riced out n/t. i have a system but i dont try to topple the car next to me.
"Shows personality" eh mines pretty plain, aside from rims. i guess riced out ones can show their personality is "look at me, i was neglected as a child"
"2 Fast 2 Furious" ugh. epitome of rice. main car was a n/t, nuff said.
"Redline" though they really shouldnt be, 65-7k is my shift, let the turbo do the work, not the engine.
"5-Speed" if you cant drive a 5spd you shouldnt drive a car, period. all cars SHOULD be manuals, so soccer moms would need to be more alert when driving their 2 ton sleds to school and cutting me off.
"Has a turbo" (CRANKWALK BABY!) cmon, so turbos lead to crankwalk now? ive heard it all. RESEARCH, RESEARCH!!!
"Injen Intake" and its been proven to do absolutely nothing. the turbo is gonna suck in the air it needs no matter how smooth the intake is. want a real intake? get a BLOTHRU MAF setup and strap the filter straight to the turbo. or no filter at all if you got the balls and money for a new turbo when a rock gets in there.
"Earns Respect" eh, the GST sticker is enough in my town. rarely do i need to "Earn" anything, i could care less what people think.
"People Want" (Who? I never hear someone say "DUDE, I WANT AN ECLIPSE...*thinks*.. nope..never..) I DID, after going on the website where 80% of the cars were in the 13's or faster with around 2-3g's invested.
"Chicks Stare" specially if its drop top, cause then they want to take a ride.
"Pocket Rocket" thats a big pocket.
"Walks the walk" (WHAT WALK? THE CRANKWALK...BWAHAHAHA) haha that was pretty funny remark, whoever made the original pic set themselves up for that.

thank you, thank you so very much. its labeled as a import since its a 4banger and has japanese parts. even though fords use mexican parts. i think id rather have parts from clean freaks over seas then dirty pedro across the border.
