removing steering wheel non mn12

I'm trying to pull the steering wheel off my 79 Cadillac Seville. Anyone know how to get these off? This is a telescoping wheel btw.

So far I have done the following

removed the adjustment for the telescoping wheel,
removed the disc behind this control
removed the nut behind this disc

Thats it I'm stuck. The holes in the steering wheel puller dont line up with the holes on the wheel.
