97 GFX Original?

I spotted a pearl white '97 Bird in a car lot on my way to work today. I'm going to check it out after work. It had a ground effects kit on it. My question is, was there an OEM kit offered as an option or would this be after market?

Either aftermarket or off an SC. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the last MN-12 to have factory FX was the 95 SC.

These are highly engineered precision vehicles, the first step in diagnosing the problem is to strike the suspected offending part sharply and repeatedly with a blunt object, then re-test.

it was either a dealer installed aftermarket kit or owner installed. Only SC bird got factory ground effects.

Well took a look. Long story short, xenon body kit, cracked and chipped, leather seats, cracked everywhere, filthy interior, original manifold, 96000 miles, ran good, paint ok.

They wanted $8000! I said, ok see ya.

Did you remember to laugh out loud as you walked away?
