when i got my bird the fastest i got it up to i think was about 130 w/ 4.10's

Unless you have a chipped or modified computer, the speed limiter will kick in a little above 110mph.

Im not sure if it goes over 110, haven't tried, i just let off at 110.. maybe i should find out, lol.

I've been up to 115mph in mine. Yah, and it's only a V6 na. (So much for the speed limiter ) The fastest I have been in any Tbird or any car for that matter was a 92' (I think) SC 120mph. hehehe just this summer actually at Summer Blast IV.

Now, THAT was a great night!!!!

I forgot to take my foot off the gas at the end of the track. Since it was long enough I just figure what the hey.

However fast a stock 5.0 cougar will go with the limiter disabled, thats how fast I've gone. Floored it for about 6 miles one time, so I assume I hit whatever the top speed was. It took forever for the 85mph speedo to start registering again.
