I think if it's smaller than 4.7gb, there's no need to shrink it.

try "exploring" the cd and just copying the files and dragging them onto your desktop then make a custom cd using either windows or nero or something to that sort

Yeah, just go to my computer and right click on the DVD drive and then click explore. You should see a Video_TS file and maybe an Audio_TS file. Copy whatever is there to a place on your hard drive and then use DVD shrink to open them and make a new copy. That should work for you.

Hmm...not sure what thats about. Did you try googling the error message? I have made a couple of copies of copies in the past and had no trouble. Could be something it the way the orignal was copied, or disc compatibility, you know DVD +r -r +rw -rw, all that crap.

That means there is an error on the disc. Maybe a scratch or a miniscule dust mote.

google for "dvd decrypter" download that. Its free. Then put your movie into the drive and select write ISO from the menu. Select your file destination. The poof! You have a direct ISO image of your dvd.

Han Man, I get the same error message when I try to copy a copied disc.

Only difference is the copied disc is brand new, minus just getting burned.

I have not been able to copy a copied at all, nbo matter what I try.

Have you gotten this resolved completely.

I have tried 8 DVD's - 3 of which I just burned off the originals, so there are no scratched or anything.

I am stumpted...anyone?

Jus' talkin' 'bout files.

Copied a copy from another program, I believe, and it worked fine. Someone else copied one of ours with no problem.

A CRC error is because there is a problem with the disc. Either it is scratched or the original burn wasn't successful. The CRC is an error checking algorithm that is supposed to protect against read errors. In this case, it's telling you that something on the disc doesn't check out using this method.

You could try making an ISO image...

I understand what a CRC is, I find it really hard to believe that the newly burned DVD has an error or problem since it plays and recorded fine.

ALso, What is an ISO image? Can you elaborate please?

Thanks
