Tires

I'm looking to find compare a 31x10.50/15 and put it into the other way....like 235-65/15. Can't find a chart of some sort to change the way it is shown. I'm using the calcualtor, but it doesn't show 31 or 33 like that. Only 225 or 245...that way.

So what is a 31X10.50/15?
like a 275 or something?

Some say "If it aint broke, don't fix it" I say "If it aint broke, break it so you can fix it anyways"

A 31x10.50/15 would be roughly equivalent to a 265/75/15.

Quick lesson for the future...

###-##/##
First number in this tire size is width in milimeters, 2nd is sidewall height in percentage of width, and the third is of course the wheel size in inches.

##.#x##.##/##
First number is total height, second number is width, third is wheel size, all in inches. To convert from this number subtract the wheel size from height then divide in half so we know how tall one of the sidewalls is.

31 - 15 = 16/2 = 8in
now divide that into the width

8/10.5=75% (rounded to closest size)

Convert the width to MM and you have your tire size,
10.5 x 25.4 = 265 (rounded to closest size)

Of course you do the reverse to go from the first size to the second.
