That's not really all that "odd" maybe a little more rare than a green or blue or red or black one, but it was one of the colors offered...notice the tape is a little darker than the other colors? the really rare 40th anniv. birds are the purple ones.

this begs a question. Is every '95 a 40th? or just the ones with the stickers? and where can I get a sticker/badge?

These aren't like Mustangs, not all '95s are 40th annies. (I say that because all '99 and 2004 Base and GT Mustangs had 35th and 40th anniversary badges on them respectively, our cars aren't like that).

I guess if you really want to get technical, yes every 95 bird was built 40 years after 1955....so.....yeah, but no, some where special edition anniv. models....but not much is known on this option package, shawn did a lot of reserch & pretty much came to the conclusion that it was a dealer package. As far as the stangs go, yeah every 04 has a 40th badge, mine included....so I guess I have a 40th anniversary mustang whatever....it's not a "real" 40th anniv. stang which had cobra mirrors, and was available in that horrible red color with the more horrible gold stripes.....nasty.

Ive seen 40th birds with the anniversary badge on top and V8 badge on bottom and the other way around. Since the car was made at the factory then sent off to another place for the 40th stuff to be added when a dealer ordered one, it could have been changed around at the other place or at the dealer after they recieved it. I always like that color combo and it is rare. Grey, white and purple are the rare 40ths.
