I used to race on several asphalt tracks in Central Florida ranging from 1/4 - 1/2 mile. I have also raced on a couple of road courses.

I have raced Buicks, Chevrolets, and a Legends car. My "career" spanned from 1991-2000.

I made one attempt at dirt and got rained out after seven practice laps. I have, however, been hanging around and working at dirt tracks for the last decade.

Seconded.

Both moves will reduce flex in the chassis. Upgrading to polyurethane or solid bushings as rules (and dollars) allow will further help your cause. There is a thread somewhere concerning what to and what not to use poly on. Also, some joints are multiaxial such as the strut rod mounts and sway bar links so going solid on those would create problems. The front sway bar links are actually ideal in their stock form as they're solid, yet spherical (ball joint).
