Have you ever been to a track.

I have been wanting too just for fun, but was wondering how many people have taken there car out on the track and if your car was heavily modified or not. If you haven't gone, do you want to or do you not plan on it?

Define track.

The kind where you go fast in a straight line, or the kind where you have turns?

My answer to both is yes, with mostly stock cars.

I was thinking like a road course, anything with left and right turns, but all tracks are welcome.

there we go, road course. Yep, done that. On an oversize go-kart track.

With my Fiero GT... back when I had it.

No turns? You must have a hell of a time getting back to the pits!

Been to a few tracks, best time I ran was a 14.3 I believe.

Haven't been with the V8 yet, but it's got a best of 14.4.

I've had my 94 T'bird and my LSC to the local 1/4 mile drag strip, neither of which would I consider heavily modified. IMHO it was fun and boring at the same time, but still VERY worth the trip.

One of these days I'll take my Aspire, F100, and Cougar.

Only a few 1/8th mile runs with this car. Been doing some upgrades on the brakes, and when completed, hope to let it rip on a 1/4 miles strip.

Went a few times to a local drag strip on "stock" night and made a few passes in my '95 T-Bird 4.6L when I had it. Didn't do as bad as I figured on but a 5.0 Mustang won the trophy one night & a Crown Vic 'police package' won the next night.....at least the trophy stayed in the Ford family both times

I take mine to the track once or twice a year, mainly to see how fast they really are.
