Old Trans Vs. J-Modded Trans

The results speak for themselves. These are the best time slips i recieved corresponding to my transmission at the time. No other modification has been added to the car out side of a Mk TC, Flywheel, and driveshaft along with the J-modded trans. The current time i only got three runs in before the track closed, so i do believe i can run better than this. The car that i raced on this time slip was a 98 Mustang with a Supercoupe motor swap automatic. My next time slip will include the addition of my 3.73 TL rear probably on some M/T Et Streets.

nice improvement!

i had similar results after removing a tired 360,000 mile trans and replacing w/ new one.
car went from 9.70s to 9.30s.

9.96 is roughly a 15.1-15.2 pass
373s should drop that to 14.8-14.9

Those differences aren't bad, but I can see those kind of differences from day to day. If you really want to make a change put a higher stall speed converter in it.

wow thats crazy, i didnt think the jmod would do that much. i saw some argument over how much improvement the jmod would do a while ago but this is great. i didnt think it would do this much.

lets see those 3.73 time slips when you get them!

and +1 for the higher stall

It is hard to tell how much of it was the upgraded trans and how much was the mark tc, I think those have a different stall than the stock t-bird tc don't they? Or is it that they are smaller and take less hp to spin up? Either way, not all of that change can be attributed to the j-mod. Too bad the slip doesn't show the track temp. It was a bit warmer back in September.
