Went to the track!

I took the 96 Sport out for fun on my big 30th bday Got in a few runs before we had some beers and burgers I was racing against the guy I sold my 99 GT to. The first race was very cool. I had a little tire spin, but not too much off the line. I ran a [email protected] and the GT ran a [email protected] he had HELLA wheel spin. We swapped lanes and I got hell wheel spin and ran a [email protected], he ran a [email protected], but I still was the winner. The tire spin plagued me the rest of the night no matter which lane I tried. I got my ass handed to my by a "nothing but bolt-on" new edge GT that ran a 12.8, while I ran a 16.4. Then my friend FINALLY got a [email protected] with no tire spin. I spun heavily and ran a 16.1. I think with traction my Sport is high 14 second capable even without gears and TC. The slightly ported heads must have done something. I also installed Screamin Demon coils, but I dont think they did anything good for me really. Anyway, had a good time. Do my ETs and MPH look like those of someone with some wheel spin?

Well, happy birthday! Those numbers do seem a bit odd, however.

Enjoy your day, Rob!

Thanks I have never had a MPH reading that high, and its not in line with my others from that night. I wasnt sure what to make of it. I am not even sure where the MPH numbers come from. Also, how did I win a certain race even if the other person had a lower ET? I did beat them down there, but their et was lower. Anyway, here is the data from the 105mph run time slip:

Reaction: 0.66766
60: 2.289
MPH1: 71.06
660:9.9438
MPH2: 105.90
1320: 15.36445

omg, I just figured it out. It mustve been my ram air having an effect, lol. I did remove the restrictor in the air silencer and replaced it with part of a WD40 bottle and duct tape. I opted to keep the snorkel on the end though, that must be whats holding me back from 14s.
