2012 Racing Season has kicked off

So I figured since the racing season has officially kicked off, I'd start a new thread that we can post up all the little vids we do throughout the year. It'd be nice to see in a year time the differences, if any, that some of these birds have accomplished.

I'm usually the cameraman (woman lol) for my husband, soooo,

if any of you have or will have vids of this racing season, post them up ....

I'll show you his if you show us yours

Good job TJ & Raven. I need to go so you have better videos. I got a new camera for Christmas. Maybe next week. Would also look forward to meeting you Justin.

Which camera did you get Don?

TJ & Kris, you need to work on your reaction times. That's one thing that you can do on your own without having to invest any money into the car itself- other than track fees to get time at the light. You should be consistent in the .100 to .200 range; always trying for the perfect light.

I'll post times in a stickied and locked thread that will appear at the top of this forum. I've been meaning to put a list together - just been too busy right now.

Mods? Yea, I got mods ...
Air silencer delete, warp drive, dilithium crystals, flux capacitor, Slingshot Rubber band power adder, Moonshine & Gas, Leaf Blower Supercharger, Hamster Wheel & Hamster, Energizer Bunny generating 1.21 gigawatts, Mr. Fusion® Home Energy Reactor, hover conversion and a sextant celestial navigation system (The original GPS)
Best 1/4: 1,320 nanoseconds @ 670,616,629.2 miles per hour

"There isn't that much difference anymore between spacecraft, aircraft and modern automobiles..." - Keith Henry, NASA's Langley Research Center
See a list of my real mods and pictures of my car HERE. The true performance of my car was made possible by the Carolinas Crew Chief, RobertP at Rob's Tire & Auto

Ty all for the comments and the nice words.

TM I thought someone told me at the track that a .4 was a perfect light? Still I need to work on RT's for sure, but what you guys did not see in those vids, is the two last runs (one of which being the timeslip you guys saw) A car blew up or was broken on the line, so it was hurry up and wait then hurry up cause now there is a line of cars behind you lol. But yeah I know I was sleeping on that pass for sure.

Robert, I'm very disappointed that you would not even consider coming up for the event. You have in the past. But to each his own. Its always nice to see some of the top MN12's/FN10's and SC's in the country lining up.

Well life's hard, I may be at the sc shootout, I just don't have the time to be going to all the events, and it's such a long drive also, and being self employeed does not help, and I wouldant even consider coming is correct, I may do sc shootout but then again it's up in the air

AirForce, the guy I bought the car off of owned it for 10yrs. He assured me besides a rebuilt stock tranny, suspension parts, and headlights with clear corners.... the car is stock. The guy before him that owned the car did not know about mods I can guarantee you that. He only knew how to put TV's, and black velvet into the Tbird, while ripping the dash apart to put a PS2 in it

I have put a conical filter on it, and a custom exhaust done by Charles at Barry's Performance in Fayetteville.... The same ppl that built Don Phau's bad azz Mark VIII.

That's really it for the mods done to the car, I assure you she is about as stock as you can get minus the afore mentioned exhaust and air filter

From your mouth to the racing god's ears lol.

What do you think it is bud? I'm really curious.

Oh btw Kris's car will probably be faster than mine for a while since I plan on doing the PI swap, MarkVIII converter, 327TL rear and a tune on hers first.

Then I get to play with mine

Edit: TM I also found the slip from yesterday that was the only one I red lighted on... I had a .45 RT so .5 must be a perfect light.

A sportsman tree is either a .500 or .000 dependant on the timing equipment set up. A pro tree is a 400. Some racing sanctions during competition also use the pro .500 tree. Based on your slip they are using the sportsman .500 so yes a .500 would be perfect.
