I believe that the actual race coverage itself was pre-empted by CBS due to a conflicting sporting event that day, but I don't know what it was.

That tends to explain while you only see snippets of the race instead of the whole thing.

I think there's only footage of the beginning and end instead of the whole race.

Use a tool, don't be one...

i remember watching that race, flag to flag. it wasnt preempted here in tucson.
