To get 80 mm intake all you have to do is change the throttle body and the intake tube. Is that it? And also have to buy a new high priced MAF huh... Would I be able to tell any differance?
The 80mm throttle body will not fully open without porting the inlet elbow. I think 80mm is overkill unless you have a ton of mods. Here is an elbow that was prepared to make a 70mm fit:
The high-speed faction of this club all pretty much use 70-75 mm TBs, and they are making up to 300 rwhp N/A and running 12-13 seconds. I'd agree that 80 mm would be overkill.
