25th Bloomington (IL) Rendezvous 9/21-23/07

The 25th Annual Bloomington Rendezvous will be held September 22nd and 23rd at the Chateau in Bloomington IL. As the show was moved up a week, we will miss the usual clinton pork and apple festival but have some great plans for the weekend. We will still have the early bird pizza party on friday night.

On Saturday, we are offering a trip to springfield to see the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, Lincoln's Tomb and War Memorials. The museum is unlike any you have been to before, very well done, and very interesting. There have been over a million visitors in the year and a half it has been open. The wax figures are so life-like, you would think they could talk. This will be a tour at your own speed, aprox 3-4 hrs. Then we will meet for lunch in Augie's Cafe in the museum. They naturally also have a gift shop located in the museum for anyone wanting to take home a little something. After lunch, we will go to Lincoln's Tomb in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The war memorials are also located there. Join us! We need your reservation prior to sept 1st so we can make sure we will have enough transportation.

As this is the 25th anniversary, we are planning something special in the way of trophies this year. The car show will be held on sunday, the 23rd as usual. The times have been changed a little to allow us to get everyone back on the road a little quicker. This is an ALL thunderbird car show with participant judgine. a great way to kick back and enjoy a late summer weekend. Hope to see you there.

Couldn't make it. The car was still in the body shop for paint. Went from painting a couple of doors to the entire sides of the car. At least I don't have a radio antenna any more

Car is going in today for the rest...watch for a new thread shortly.

Couldn't make it, was in Alabama. It seems like it keeps getting moved earlier and earlier every year.
