Cool 2006 All Ford Nationals, Carlisle, PA June 2 - 4

This just in from DanL, Marketing Assistant of Carlisle Staff. As of March 10, 2006 Lincoln PRE REGISTRATION stands at:

Lincoln Mark VII - 5
Lincoln Mark VII LSC - 6
LSE - 1
Mark V - 1
Mark VIII - 2
Mark VIII LSC - 2
'76 Signature Series - 1

"This may not be complete as some people have registered their cars as odd names, etc."

This is FANTASTIC NEWS!

The 2005 All Ford Nationals Fun Field netted over 20 Lincoln Mark VIIs. This year, we're targeting TWICE as many Lincoln Mark VII owners to PRE REGISTER their vehicles! Our goal is to provide as many classes of Lincoln Mark VII judging as possible to encourage fair and even judging.

If you are NOT one of the PRE REGISTERED Lincolns listed above, I encourage you to do so NOW. Spread the word! We sincerely hope that the Carlisle Staff can look at our numbers before the May cut off date and, at a minimum, provide one STOCK and one MODIFIED area, for our Lincoln Mark VIIs.

Go to the Cars At Carlisle forum an thank DanL and DaveP for their assistance in showing every one what we already know; Lincoln makes the BEST automobiles!

We will try to stay at the clarion, the rooms there are decent (not great, decent).

I think they are 99 bucks a night.

If we can't get there we will have to bum it at the super8, for 99 bucks a night as well.

They rape on hotel costs that weekend.

Hotel wise, I think that every place is booked for June 2-4, 2006.

You're going to want to preregister for the fun field weather or not you feel that your car is "not worthy of putting it in a show".

For $35.00, you receive a three day pass to the fairgrounds for you, your car, and one other person. If you don't want your car judged, that's cool too. You just remove your Fun Field placard from the windshiled. We can't vote if there isn't a placard with a number on it. Also, parking on the Fun Field saves you the quarter mile walk from the action to your car. The remote lots are stone and dirt. The Fun Filed is grass and gravel/paved roads.

hey just a quick question about this. Is this basicly a car show or is there any racing involved? I'm thinking about doing it next year or whenever cause the car won't be done in a month.

Yep, and 2 months of work to do on the car. But I will be there nonetheless.

There is no racing involved at this, Its a car show, swap meet, and an all around good time. Even if your car isnt show ready, come down and have some fun. We need to show them that the TTCoA is together.
See you all there.

Im hoping that I will have my DOHC swap completed by then....that would suck. I am wondering if I should just hold off on it until after the show.
