Pay someone to do the mud tape and sanding. Mud and tape aren't that bad but the sanding SUCKS! Looks great so far though!

Thanks. I didn't realize I had - more or less - double posted my pictures, lol.

Anyway, the hardest part of all this drywall was actually the very thin strips up at the ceiling. They were each 5/8" wide strips that I had to cut and then be delicate about installing them with the drywall screws.

I guess that's what I get for using the tapatalk app instead of actually using a PC!

I've done all my own work before with the living room, dining room, and daughter's room. Sanding isn't that bad, but definitely not my favorite.

That's what corner molding is for; covering the edges.

It also comes in handy for those outside corners; inside corners are easy to tape and mud.

Be sure to be anal about the dust when people are sanding, especially around the little ones; dustmask and shopvac at the minimum.
Make the kids play outside, lol.

I use drywall mud as a component in thermite, it's definitely not good to breathe. (Ti02+KClO3+CaSO4 makes metal Titanium)

Most definitely will be using shop vac and mask when doing all the sanding. I'll have the spawnlings out of the house....or at least somewhere else.

Yeah joint topping compound and drywall is some pretty nasty stuff. Your typical household dust mask really doesn't filter it nearly as well as a fitted respirator. That shop vac filter is pretty much gone by the time you are done.

Most important part of the filter is fitting it to your face. If you have a beard, it may not be effective.

I've seen that before.

Sadly, you will need to replace the case; I've seen no one successfully weld that up.

The cast aluminum doesn't weld well at all.

Nice kids!

What did you do to your arm? Broken or Sprained?

I've had that kind of cast for both; if it's broken, be really careful.
You do not want to hear the words "We'll have to rebreak and set it again...".

Thanks!

As for the arm, it's sprained. We're dog-sitting my MIL's two dogs, a Poodle and a Pit Bull. We have two dogs, a Puggle (Pug / Beagle mix, seen in elsewhere in this thread) and a German Sheppard (named Marco) mix. Marco is either mixed with something small or was the runt of the litter because he's small for a German Sheppard...only about 2-1/2ft high at the shoulder and weighing about 50lbs. My MIL's Pit Bull (named Libby) is also a smaller Pit Bull weighing in similar to my dog, about 45lbs, but she's a smaller size, maybe about 2ft at the shoulder.....so she's dense. My MIL had come several times before this last weekend in order to have all the dogs socialized, and they seemed to have gotten along just fine.

Anyway, with that info as context, the first day my MIL had gone Marco and Libby were doing just fine, and out of nowhere they got into. I jumped out and grabbed Libby by the scruff between her shoulders and tossed her into the back yard. All that was maybe 10 seconds worth of time. In that very brief period of time I must have somehow sprained my wrist. It hurt bad, but not broken bone bad (yeah, I've had that).

Thinning out the engine harness on the 90. Since Im using a 5.0 from an explorer and all its electronics, going to run it has a standalone from the car. Only things from the explorer stuff thatll be tied into the car are the guages and main power.

Also, found a 94 cougar in the yard in grand rapids MI. 90k miles on it, basically rust free. Guessing it was junked cause the headgaskets. Took the radiator fan from it. Might go back for the seats and a couple other things, interior is fully red. Been starting to like red interiors lately.

Did the RVynil (?sp) blue Carbon Fiber overlay for the dash surround; this is the passenger side (with the cup holder out).

Today was a Yucca Valley day for me. Now on each of my trips I've seen this old sun beaten NASCAR style T-Bird parked, but never snapped any pictures of it because I keep forgetting about it. Not today!

Then on the way back to the office, I came up on this Google Street View car!! In a few weeks, I'll be seeing myself in my work vehicle driving along, lol.
