1997 Center Console Top Swap

I finally got off my duff and swapped out my 1996 console top for a 1997 top with cupholders. While I was in there I took some pictures and decided to make a how-to out of it, and included info. on relocating the cigarette socket and mounting a Mustang fog light switch as well. Hope it can help some people in the future.

Very nice write up. I hope this trend keeps up. I just read a good one the other day on painting your headlights that was very well done also.

I'd like to add my experiences in with the Mustang Foglamp switch.

I got the illumination wire tapped from the dimmer wire going into my head unit. You could probably also get it from the Cigarette Lighter light, or the PRND21 light power wire. I just found it easiest to tap the wire going into my head unit.
