A slight issue with my NOS

I just had my car dyno'd and retuned by someone else yesterday. Im a little confused on what went wrong. N/A I was at 266 hp and like 288 torque, with the 100 shot I went up to 269 hp and 422 torque??? The window switch let the nos come on at 3000 like it is suppose to but it seems like right after that like 3500 rpm's the nos shut off. Anybody have a clue on what could be wrong?

sounds like your window switch it set to only run from 3000 to 3500. What window switch are you running? what rpm was the 422tq at? the dyno graph should show you if the nitrous actually does stop running at 3500.

I got the window switch from Summit racing with the modules 3000 to 6000 rpm. I pretty sure the window switch is a nos switch. and I bought a tach driver to make it work. rpm at 422tq was roughly 3400. I'll post the dyno sheet Monday since I left it at work on accident.

yeah get the sheet and we'll see if it stops making power at 3400. what you could do is just wire around the switch and manually turn it on and try that.

Well I hooked up a test light to it yesterday, at wot as soon as it hits 3000 the light comes on then shuts off around 3500. I will get the sheets and post them Monday but im starting to think that I may end up putting a button on the wheel to spray it and eliminating the window switch. I dont want to but that might be the best solution.

are you sure you have the right settings in the switch? does it use the different rpm pills like the msd switch does? if so put in a lower rpm pill and see if it changes any.

Maybe your WOT (Wide Open Throttle) switch is grounding out......

my brothers did when he set up the spray on his car and it stopped it from doing so.

One things for sure, you're fuel curve sucks. There's no way a fuel curve should look like that. Especially on the juice!!! That car should be in the 11.6-11.8 range all the way across the board once its hit. Not all over the place like it was.

Something is wrong there that needs to be corrected. At one point you are way down in the 10 range and thats way too fat (Rich).

Make sure you have the right jets, good fuel pump, and all the connections are working properly. The way that curve looks there may be more issues and it could be trying to cut out as well.

Go over everything again.

I thought the fuel curve sucked because the nos wasn't going in and he set the computer as if it was spraying.
The jets should be right I followed a chart that was sent to me. Im gonna go through my receipts and double check the injector size and everything.
I switched modules on the window switch I put in a different 6000 rpm module in and now its shutting off at 4500.

I messed around with one of those stupid window switches for about a year and finally gave up and removed it.

WOT switch I jumped it and its working fine! I got a new one to put on but im gonna make a new bracket at work to hold it better. Only issue with the window switch is that you have to buy a tach driver to get it to read the correct rpm.

Damn bro....sucks what you're going through.
I never ran a window switch, just a main power, and a WOT switch.
I just had to watch my RPM's carefully.

sorry guys been away computer went down but yes it is fixed. The one end of the WOT switch was loose and wasnt working right when we tested it at work. Put a new WOT switch on it along with a better bracket so it wont move and last I checked it worked perfect. Im gonna hook the test light to it 1 more time to make sure its still good then when I get the tires it's off to the track.
