Back fire?

friday at the track my car had a back fire any ideas?

when I ran spray on my 95(with a 4.6l)...mine would back fire some.
It did it when the motor was not warmed up enough, or, if I hit the N20 at too a low of RPM's.

yeah its really bad at low rpms my friend said it shoot flame about 5 feet long out the back, I would have like to had a pic of that

It's best not to hit the spray until a minimum of 3000 RPM's has been reached.

What kind of intake are you running?
