Fav. Methanol Injection kits?

What is your favorite methanol injection kit? I'd like to see some opinions on a few -- I'm thinking I want to stay away from MAF based kits if at all possible.

Thanks,
-Ryan

I've been thinking about getting one too. But it's hard to find the room in the engine compartment. I've been looking at this company, doesn't look to bad.

This typically isn't used too often on NA applications.

I've been looking at the AIS systems as well.

So I've heard. But the car is going to be supercharged in the next year, maybe two.But I also like the fact it acts as an octane booster.I know this year we will be investing in one for the SVO car.

biggest problem is using too much. You need to realize that you are adding fuel. Unless you are tuning for that extra fuel you wil lloose power. In that regard a lil may work well..Alot wont

I will be adding a Snow kit to mine over the Winter, so may need some advice. I had planed on having mine on E85 by now to give me the needed octane and extra cooling. The only 1/4 mile strip we have near here is 80 miles away in Bowling Green Ky, and no E85 there, or between me and BG. I will have to continue pulling timing for now.

Make sure you get the "safe injection" from them.

I will be using there Stage 2 kit, and may have to use there carb plate also. Would rather inject next to the SC discharge, but supposedly the alcohol can puddle in my carb enclosure. Always some thing...

What does the Safe Injection do?

Using their silonoid between your carb enclosure and the reservoir might help it not puddle? Basically a one way valve that opens and lets the meth by only when the system is activated. Maybe im not understanding you and this might not have anything to do with it.

A module that is plumbed and wired between the nozzle and reservoir. If you are going to tune for meth (advance timing), I wouldn't even consider the tune without a safe injection.

It basically measures the amount of pressure of meth going through the safe injection unit, when the pressure falls below a pre-determined mark already programmed into the unit, like if you run out of meth on a WOT run, the safe injection will send a 12v signal to a silonoid plumbed into your bypass valve and instantly bleed lots of boost. Therefore automatically retarding your timing and saving your motor. The boost will remain bleeding until you put more juice into the reservoir.

This is good for when you do a P/A.

As you are N/A, I would personally just spray the meth/water for added insurance and cooling power and not tune for it. That's up to you. The extra fluid in your combustion chamber will also help raise your compression a little. And if your motor already has about a 10:1 CR, that is when you can really benefit on performance on a N/A.

I personally love the stuff. I will add it to any car I ever own... even if its just for protection and clenseness (sp).

Hope this helped.

Sounds like a good set up. I use to be NA, but now boosted big time. 15 psi for now, and going up in the Spring. Here is what I did back in June.

Well, I was planning on using Safejection. Unfortunately, I don't have a bypass valve with my blower setup. I'll have to figure something else out.

Can you add one? Try giving Greg a call from Snow. I think they have something.

Not without fabbing up a one-off inlet plenum and blower manifold. It could happen, but I doubt that I'll have that much time to devote to the car this winter.
