Lightbulb Super Charger

How hard would it be to take a Super Charger from a junk 1993 SC and put it on a 93 3.8L. Is it even possible or is it to much work. ive heard yea and nah just lookin for more opinions.

Lot's of work. It can be done, but it really isn't worth the effort. Unless you have access to a machine shop and you can fabricate/engineer, you're better of buying a Vortech and slapping it on.

The 1993 SC used an early GEN-III Eaton M90 supercharger. You really want a '94 or '95 Eaton M90. Regardless, the 3.8L uses specific parts for the SC.

Swapping over the SC parts onto the NA 3.8 can be done. Worth it....that would be your call. I personally would rethink the idea through, considering all the factors in play.

If you have access to a salvage/donor SC you could swap over the complete drive train and wiring. If you go this route talk to Melon on this site. He has been down that path before.

..not worth it...the SC's had a beefed up bottom end....the n/a birds didn't.
