This has previously been pretty well covered. Do a search for "inner tierod" If you seperate "tie rod" you get bogus results.

a black car.

Here ya go:

It could also be your steering rack... try replacing the inners and outers (both are pretty cheap) an then take it to the shop to get it aligned. It's impossible to align a car with those parts bad.

thank you for the replies....and sorry i did forget to use the search funtion.

i am replacing the outer & inner, the UCA & the LCA and the sway bar link. Once all this is done, definitely needs an alignment.

Just mark where it's aligned at with a sharpie marker, then get it as close as possible, then have it aligned. =)

You can generally bust them loose and break the rivet right off, they are very weak.

+1 Forget you saw the rivet and spin it right off with a big crescent wrench. The rivet is aluminum and won't damage the threads at all.

lowered, koni sport adjustables, 4.30 tl in aluminum housing, mark 8 trans, j-mod, 93 mark viii ds, antenna hole=gone, kooks headers 1.75" primaries, 2.5" catless duals, midmount magnaflow, 96-97 sport wheels with 255/50/16 sumitomo HTR Zs, optima in the trunk, new motor...94 mark 6/6/08
