Help convert to manual steering, please

I wasnt sure where to put this so here we are. I am putting together a 95 bird 4.6l auto for drag race purpose, for my 18yr old daughter. I want to convert to manual steering but not sure if these ever came with manual or not. If so where can i get a pt# for the manual rack?? If not will one from a 87/93 mustang work, or 95 and newer work. I know the mounting bolt are the same measurement center to center, but i was worried about the steering coupler not in the right location. It is vary tight space between the motor/frame. Has anyone done this??
Thanks

Yes, some have put in manual racks, but had to have some parts on it(don't remember what), had to be made to fit the mn12.

I'll see if I can find that stuff....

I have a 95 and run manual steering on it, but with the power rack. I looped the fluid lines together, and it has been fine since.
I run skinnies up front, so that helps with the "hard" steering. Its not that bad, but I'm sure a manual rack would be easier.
