Steering issue (not power related)

I have searched but not found anything like this

When I go over a bump even smaller ones I feel a secondary bump through the steering wheel. Almost like the jolt is being transmitted directly to the steering wheel. This is especially noticeable at highway speeds. the rack looks good, the rag joint also appears fine. Without going over a bump the steering feels fine. The kind of bumps I am referring to are the short "sharp" type of bump. This is difficult to explain in writing, I hope this made sense.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
