Thumbs down squeaking in rear suspension

dunno what the eff is wrong now but there is a really bad squeaking coming from the rear passenger side.. i checked the brake pads and they look fine plenty of padding left.. i just replaced the caliper as i thought it might be stickin... brand new rotors just put on two days ago...

it sounds horrible and i need it gone as im selling it

I'm assuming its a constant squeaking?

When you replaced the caliper did you position the slots on the piston to line up with the pads?

Are the dust shields contacting the rotor?

thanks for the quick replies.

its pretty consistent when im driving at a steady speed its a rapid squeak squeak squeak. if i speed up or slow down it goes away until im at a constant rate of speed. pads are in correct place i double checked before i put it all back together.

im pretty sure the dust shields are out of the way. ill check that right now.

dust shields are bent out of shape but not touching the rotors. i pushed them back and sprayed it down with brake cleaner still as bad as ever..

i swear its the wheel bearing but ive taken it to three shops and they've all said its fine. ive also checked it myself and it seems fine.

the car is really unstable at highway speeds..

i talked to the guy at the shop and he said the bearing shouldnt make a bunch of noise like that

no wheel play.. if i start driving it for a while it starts thumping and feels like the back passenger side wheel is just going to fall off.

god im so pissed ive taken it to 3 shops and spent $760 on this bull sh*t. i took it back to the shop today and showed the dumb a$$ that it was not the brake pad and its still broken.

i know this has happened to a tbird before. surely someone on this forum knows/has some experience with this....

PLEASE HELP

Would the rear hub be going bad?

Jack it up and try to move the wheel, it might just be bushings.

If the squeak is in sync with the speed of the vehicle I'll throw a warped rotor into the mix. My front brakes made such a squeak-squeak-squeak due to warped rotors.

there is a bushing that is cracked but its not giving much movement. i thought it was the caliper and/or rotor but ive replaced both now.

i spent $500 just two days ago-

rotors all around- $300 (shop)
caliper-$60 (me)
brake pads- $140 (shop)

the shop is looking at the wheel bearing even tho there is NO wheel play, i talked them into doing this for free because they never really test drove my car like i asked them too. i let them have a peace of my mind about it

so anyways i am praying this is it and i wont have to dish out anymore money on this crap. could the wheel bearing be out and still not have any wheel play when i jack it up?

fixed! it was the wheel bearing. apparently when they tried to fix it my bearing broke the bearing press. the whole frame was bent out of shape, pretty wild. they think this is why there was no play on the wheel when they checked it the first time. and they only charged me for the pads they put on, the bearing was free! HECK YEAH!!

I'm amazed they broke the press; I broke the knuckle on the first one I replaced, lol.
