Suspension Causing Stiff Steering?

My passenger side inner tie rod end is going bad. I have all of the parts to rebuild the entire front suspension, just not the time. I have recently noticed my steering is very stiff when at idle. So, I am trying to determine if the tie rod end could be causing the stiff steering or is it time for a new PS pump? I am thinking PS pump.

Is it an intermittent problem?

mine is sometimes extremely stiff at low speeds, other times it's fine. My front end is tight Just replaced some parts and had a safety inspection this month.

I'd like to get mine fixed as well as long as the fix doesn't affect the steering at any other speed.

sorry this wasn't helpfull in any real way.

yeah it isn't a constant problem. However, it is becoming more and more common. If it is the PS pump, what is a good replacement pump to purchase?
