Question Inner tie rod

Hey guys I have a 95 TBIRD I'm looking to replace the inner and outer tie rod's.
My question is that there appears to be some type of line going into the boot....
what is this and how do you remove it with out damaging it? thanks in advance for the help.

thanks Transam396

Is only an air tube to equalize between the boots.

Just pull it out.
