Joe,

As I stated in the original thread, I didn't think that anyone would be willing to pay me what it would be worth for me to make them for sale, that's why I shared the design details.

The materials cost me about $30, and it takes quite a while to make them. I'd want $175 shipped for a set.

Regards,

Doug

As a set, do you mean one side? Not both sides?

Mine? Absolutely!

Unless they're damaged somehow, they should outlast the car.

If that's the case, they're well worth the expense IMHO.

Good to hear! Ever thought about making the ford bushings yourself, it you could make them for a reasonable price?

Why? They're still available, they're pretty cheap, and the materials that I use, Delrin, UHMW, etc., aren't correct for the application.

Correct, the complete kit is no longer available, hence my need to fabricate the replacement sleeves.

$175 for more or less permanent sleeves is more than worth it. The last kit I bought was around $130-$140 for one side. The bushings are only $13 per side so the majority of the cost is the hardware.

Will these stand up to the 83-113 lb-ft torque on the front strut bar nut that the specs call for without deforming?

To my everlasting amazement, I've already received orders for 5 sets. I've ordered the materials and begun making a total of 7 sets, so 2 sets are currently available for sale.

Down to the last set. I've ordered materials to make more, but it'll be a while as I've got other projects to finish for other customers.

I do have a little question though.

Looks like you have a positive stop. Shouldn't they be allowed to "float" a little more.

Look really sweet though.

I think I need to get me a lathe.

The stock sleeves also have a positive stop, only at a slightly wider point. And I don't know about you, but I don't really want anything "floating" in my suspension.

I guess floating wasn't the best word. And I didn't know they had a stop. I thought that the stock ones allowed you to tighten till you cannot anymore, but thinking back I guess they do stop before you squish the bushings up there.

The stock sleeves compress while being tightened until the inner (longer) sleeve bottoms out against the rear nut. I shouldn't have referred to it as positive, because in reality, the end of the sleeve mushrooms a bit, which is one of the things that makes them difficult to remove and reuse.
