Possible rack elbow replacement

I stumbled across this while looking for something else. There's an elbow on the 2005-2007 Five Hundred/Freestyle/Montego at the pump for the pressure side. It is very similar to the one on our rack and pinion. Does anyone think they may swap out? I've read that the aftermarket part for our cars is unreliable. This may provide an OEM part that is still available. (MN12 p/n is F1SZ-3A719-D and Five Hundred p/n is 5F9Z-3A719-B)

The part for our car looks like this:

Rockauto version:

And this is the part for the Five Hundred:

There's a 2005 Five Hundred on the lot. I may at least do a side-by-side since my rack is already out, and I have the Rack Doctor one here ready to go in.

That would be a nice find, if it works out.

Those should be around for another 10 years or so, lol.

I finally made it over to the junkyard. The Five Hundred part is on the left, MN12 on the right.

The new part is too big to fit the rack. Oh well
