Triangular upper control arms
I am in the planning stages of fabricating a triangular rear upper control arm. Where to mount the control arms and how to make a triangle out of tube steel are the easy parts; how to mount them is what I could use some advice on.
The upper control arm adjusts the camber by rotating the bolt thru the bushing that connect the control arm to the sub frame. With a triangular configuration, I would need to be able to rotate two bolts ate the same rate and time(since on a triangular upper control arm there are two mounting points to the sub frame) to keep the control arm from being cocked to one side or the other.
On both the upper and lower control arms, camber and toe are controlled respectively by an adjustment made to the bolt that connects the control to the sub frame. In making this new triangular upper control arm, is there any reason why I could not put the adjustment for the camber on the bushing that connects the control arm to the rear knuckle?
