Unhappy Grinding, Squishing Noise??

A few days after I had my head gaskets replaced, I have noticed a new noise in the car. It's a strange noise, like a fast grinding noise. This noise only happens when I am turning the wheel. I've listened to it closely when driving and it sounds like its coming from the drivers side wheel or somewheres around there. I don't feel anything in the steering wheel when it happends and I have already checked the fluids and all. I am stumped on what this noise is. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advanced.

Does the noise happen if you turn the wheel with the car stopped? If so, it's probably a power steering problem. If it happens in motion, I don't know. It's hard to tell without hearing it. (And sometimes it's hard even if you can hear it.)
