rattling noise

Well, I finally broke down and decided to take my car to a front end shop. There is a rattling noise coming from the front every time I hit any bumps. I keept trying to figure out what it was but with no luck. They guy at the shop told me that it was the front stabilizer bar? I looked in my Haynes manual and its the bar that sits under my crankshaft. He said that it would cost $162. Im selling the car to get the money for an SC thats for sale. Its been that way ever since I bought the car. Should I fix it or sell it like that?

change the front endlinks, that attach to the front sway bar.

The bushings wear out and the ratting is metal on metal contact happening.

Do it yourself, its under an hour job for all four corners.

Bushings should be included. I would replace both, because if one fails, the other can't be far behind. (Can you even buy just one?)

All fixed! No more annoying rattle. The drivers side was easy. I just popped that one out with a hammer. The passsenger side though was a different story. I spent 30 min trying to knock it out. Finally, I went to Autozone and got a tie rod end seperator and pryed it of. Its rides and feels a whole lot better.

Sweet. Saved about $100, I guess. Nice job!

I had the same problem and fixed it last night. $30 each for TRW end links and $5 each (Advance Auto Parts) for TRW sway bar bushings. What a huge difference!
