Inner Tie Rod Removal - NEED HELP ASAP

Inner Tie Rod Removal!

Can you do this without any special tools? Are there any how to's or anything?

The Haynes manual explains the outer tie rod removal pretty well, but it doesn't really talk about the inner. If you already have the outer off, or know how to do it, then I don't think it's too complicated.

edit: I looked into it a little more ... this is a site for SHOs, but I think it's basically the same (same years, both Fords, etc.). Check it out: SHOtimes

all you have to do is drill out the rivit that gos into the threads so you dont tear them up when your taking out the old one. and make sure you have some new clamps for the boot as the factory ones are the clamp on type that cant be re-used.

Thank you, we were wondering why none of our tools would fit!

We had to litteraly knock the outer end of it off, Ill try to get some pictures tomorrow.
