Angry Inner tie rods

On my 94 cougar 4.6l my driverside inner tie rod broke(BullSh!t). I looked through my haynes manual and it no help some thats why im here. I was wondering does anyone know how to remove the inner tie rod. At first i though i knew what i was doing because i removed the outer tie rod with no problem because half of the inner was in it. Then i moved to the inner tie rod. I removed the rubber boot from the car and that where all hell broke loose. I tryed removeing it with some heavy duty plyer and that didnt work.PLEASE help dont want to take it to the shop for $230.00!!!!!!!!!

There is a small "rivet" in there that you have to drill out before it will turn.

I just changed out both on my car earlier this month. I'm not trying to step all over Dode but you should be able to turn the inner tie rod enough to get a drill on the rivet. There is a little space before the rivet touched the threads. Hope this helps.
