If you drag race your T-Bird/Cougar/Mark VIII or Autocross it please contact us as we would like to speak to you. The pinion brace has shown excellent results on a 11 sec Thunderbird and we would like to work with a few autocross guys.
Don't quote me but the 60ft was in the 1.6 sec area and the 1/4 mile was in the 11.1 sec area.

The purpose of the pinion brace is to secure the front of the differential. You still use the differential bushings so NVH is not an issue. The brace mounts to the lower front control arm. The Diff bushings sit on top of the brace and this holds the pinion from moving up/down and side to side. Ford made the first Pinion Brace for the 99-up Mustang Cobra IRS. We took that idea and made one for the Thunderbird/Cougar and Mark VIII IRS. Just in case you are wondering ....No the Mustang Cobra brace does fit the T-Bird subframe.
What does this do, anchor the pod to the body to keep it from twisting?
